Is this a Republic or a Police State?

A disabled man is arrested for not wearing an “approved” face mask while attempting to get his prescription filled at the local HEB in Texas.

  1. Tyranny is the government telling you you can’t go to a hair salon because there’s a plague.

Freedom, on the other hand, is the government telling you you have to go back to work at your plague-stricken pork processing plant alongside workers who might be sick.

    Got it.

  2. The irony is that, those face masks can’t stop viruses. They go right through the fibres and would float around in the air at face level. Viruses can’t go through his face shield, which also directs his breath downward, allowing any potential viruses in his breath to precipitate to the ground faster, making them less likely to come in contact with another person. His shield also protects his eyes, which are one of the viral entry points. Their eyes aren’t protected at all. He is in more danger of coming in contact with a virus – any virus – from them, than the other way around. As someone with a disability, he is high risk from any viral illness.

    1. True, According to Encyclopedia Britannica, most viruses are well under a micron in size and would easily pass through most homemade masks in use; so their efficacy in preventing the spread of COVID-19 is somewhat overrated. I’ve read it’s the equivalent of using a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes.

    1. True enough. And the blame rests entirely upon those who have voted to expand that thick blue wall and abandon the very principles upon which the republic was founded (i.e., life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness).
